My local scrap store Scrapville has a card comp every month with its own sketch. I haven't really been able to do good cards for some years now - I fluke one now and then, but I actually used to make cards before I came to scrapbooking. But somewhere along the way I just lost the drive.

smiley kylie 1969 2012
yep - that's baby me. I took this pic from Dad's home movies that he recently had converted to DVD after years in dust covered boxes. This is the best pic I could get - but because I've only seen this moment in black and white before, I love it! We are out on Nan & Pa's lawn on Christmas day.
it's a mystery 2012
Another page inspired by Gina's comp from the Boxx (the comp that just keeps giving). Used her red / yellow / green pic for inspiration. These are my favourite Enid Blyton books from my tweenhood. There are only 15 books in the set but I still love reading them.

Concepts
This weekend I seem to be doing more "concept" work than actual scrapping. I know the photos I want to scrap. I know what ideas I have about the pages.

Little Red Coats 2012 (1975 ish)
Used The Boxx Fortnightly challenge by Gina, and sketch from my local scrap store- Scrapville. I've had these newsprint pages for ages (someone gave them to me) and I had no idea how to use them until I saw the pic in Gina's challenge.

Cheeky Girl 2012
I was so inspired by Gina's fortnightly comp at The Boxx 29th Feb - 13 mar 2012, that I grabbed the very first pic and went for my life. I've had this pic of my counsinette violet (vi) for some time, unsure exactly what to do with it. By accident it fell out on the page when I was looking for pics, and I thought - hey - you know what? That kind of sits quite well with those colours!
