Best Ever Feb 2022

The emerald and pear green of the Archiscraps challenge for Feb 2022 seemed to go really well with this photo of my Mum I took at Christmas. I've taken lots and lots of photos of mum over the years and she's never relaxed and always trying to hide something she doesn't like in that moment. But this photo is totally her and its amazing to me what a difference it makes when she is happy and relaxed for the camera! So its well and truly worthy of digi scrapbooking page all on its own!

Art and Me Oct 2021

Although the COVID crisis slowed me down somewhat in the artistic department I did manage to create some paintings I was happy with, and improve some older works. A great topic to scrap.

Seek March 2021

I guess I was the same as everyone else. Struggled a bit creatively during COVID lockdowns and uncertainty, more so because I live in the country and on a state border meaning that some lockdowns I was cut off from family and friends living just 5kms over the border that I would normally see weekly or often. But I was proud with myself that I added a new interest during COVID and it powered many of my new discoveries in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and kept me well and fit.

Discover Australia Oct 2021

It's always challenging to do a layout with no journaling. I was mega inspired by the challenge, but somehow the page didn't quite turn out how I wanted it. I took the selfie of myself in a mirror and flipped it back so the "canon" on the camera was not mirrored.

12 months of Nature Sept 2021

The best thing that happened for me during the many many lockdowns for COVID was branching out from just birdwatching to watching everything else as well - plants, insects, reptiles, mammals, etc. I joined a group online and took photos and put them up for ID. I got lots of exercise and learned heaps.

Seven And Three Quarters Sept 2021

Another lockdown - the 7th one extended to a few more weeks. By this time it was getting really hard. So best to just scrap it! Inspired by the Archiscraps Sept 2021 challenge.

I Got Boobs Sept 2021 Fathers Day

Its a challenge each year to be original with a fathers day gift. In 2021 I sent Dad a gift box from Junee Chocolate Factory after seeing them on channel 7's sunrise. It included lots of white chocolate (dad's favourite) as well as their signature 'bottle of boobs - busts' which he took down to the Men's Shed to share. Dad also grew a beard during their lockdown which I was just getting used to but he'd shaved it off by Father's Day!

Musical Chuck August 2021

I had a huge clean out of my sheet and book music. So why not scrap it! It was easy and hard as I'd had some for years and years. CSI 364 comp.

My Idol John Williams Aug 2021

Kraft Plus challenge August 2021. I've loved classical music all my life, but during the late 1970s and into the 1980s I loved movie music and John Williams in particular who went on to score the best of the best.

Buttons Aug 2021

I love my two jars of antique buttons that a friend of the family gave me. They are so different to anything I find around these days even though the majority are made of plastic! Digital scrapbooking layout for Artastic August 2021 comp.

Three Aug 2021

My cousin Mitch, his wife Anne and their three boys. I loved the tones in these photos. Digital scrapbooking layout.

Heirloom Tea Towels Aug 2021

During COVID I made a number of digital scrapbooking layouts with the purpose of printing them into a little book and sending them by mail to my 'auntie' in the next town which for most of the lockdowns I was not allowed to visit. This one was also for Archiscraps Aug 2021 comp.

Splashes of Colour July 2021

Artastic July 2021 inspired this page with some of my bright and colourful bird photos. I continued bird watching during COVID as I was allowed exercise so went to lots of close by reserves for the first time.
I also expanded my knowledge by joining a group and discovered insects, native plants, reptiles, mammals, etc.

5th Lockdown July 2021

Another COVID page and another bout of working from home, which I have become expert at now. In fact, its exactly like working at work for me except the lack of face to face contact. Archiscraps July 2021 challenge.

I bought Bambi June 2021

I found it challenging to scrap during the worst of covid but tried to still create pages even when I really didn't feel like it. . This page was for the Archiscraps June 2021 challenge.

Love 1930's style

Trying to balance a page with old (in this case 1930's) photos but using a mix of modern and antique styles is always a challenge. Here I used my Dad's parents wedding photos. Both married quite late in their life. The little daffodils were made by Dad's mum. I used the Artastic challenge for June 2021.
